2009 Presentations to Charity and Dinner Dance

WVTEC PRESENTATIONS TO CHARITIES
The Western Vintage Tractor and Engine club held their Annual Christmas dinner and dance at Marie Lukes Tourmakeady on Saturday 5th December 2009.
This well attended gathering was a very entertaining night with excellent food and music. This was the last event of a very successful year for the Club. It was also a very important night as the proceeds from our Vintage Rally at the Country Club Hollybrook Hollymount in July were presented to the three nominated charities – Mayo Mental Health Association, Mayo Autism Action and the National Council for the Blind (Mayo).
The club was thanked for its generous donation to charities over the years which is now in excess of €100,000. In addition, an in house raffle raised almost €700 for the Ballinasloe flood appeal.
The club committee would like to thank everybody for their support and generosity throughout the year and particularly to our sponsors that never let us down even in the more difficult times. We are all looking forward to rally year 2010 with our first event – the Auction and Autojumble at Roundfort Community Centre on February 28th 2010.
