The Western Vintage Tractor & Engine Club held its annual dinner dance in Maire Lukes, Tourmakeady on Saturday night 1st December 2007.
Approximately 120 people attended the dinner dance in this very pleasant and warm venue, and as usual, Barbera and Frank Philibin along with their family and staff put up an excellent meal.
Michael O Malley, (chairman) said a few words, just to welcome everybody and to thank everyone who had helped out during the year on what was certainly the club’s most successful year since its formation. P.J. Murphy of The Mayo Mental Health Association, spoke and wished to thank the club for its loyal support to the organisation down the years, and went on to explain where the monies are spent within this very worthy cause.
There were lots of spot prizes on offer and the music was by the “ Country Boys” and I think it could be honestly said that everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
